So my computer was running slow...i went to the task manager and bam what did i see eating up all kinds of resources? The zune software. Now mind you the zune is nowhere near my machine. IE, it's not plugging in, i'm not running the microTUNES app, etc. So i stopped the service. Guess what happens, it pops right back up. Jumps right back up to taking up about 35-40megs? To do what?
I figured i would share with those potentially interested in getting a Zune player. It's also worth noting that when i first plugged the zune in, it took about an hour to for it to set itself up, download stuff, install...basically take over my computer.
It then, and i shit u not...proceeded to sync every piece of media on my computer. Including non wmv files...which it transcoded and moved over to the device. Amazing...
The screen is nice however, and the package it came it was also very impressive. It came with headphones that you'll want to throw away, why bother?
We'll see what it's life expectancy is like, that might be the only thing that it has over the ipod. my family(ie the wife and i) have gone through about 5 ipods...
